Yacht bottom cleaning
Time : 2022-03-13

Bottom cleaning steps:

1. Hoisting and landing. The yacht is first hoisted ashore and placed on a stable shelf that conforms to the hull structure.

2. Preliminary cleanup. When the bottom of the ship is still wet, use a blade or other tools to remove the parasites on the bottom of the ship in time. Parasites are extremely perishable after death, so they must be cleaned up in time after eradication.

3. Wash the bottom of the ship. Use a brush dipped in detergent to clean the stubborn silt and debris on the bottom of the ship, and then rinse with a high-pressure water gun.

Four, delineate the work surface. After cleaning, carefully paste the masking paper to delineate the painted area, then use fine sandpaper or an air mill to polish the original paint surface, clean the dust, and let it dry. Ensure that the working surface is dry and smooth.

5. Apply anti-fouling paint. After the working surface is dry, start painting. If it is not a special painting work site, it is recommended to spread a layer of waste paper on the work site and clean it up after the work is completed. The anti-fouling paint needs to be applied twice, which can be brushed or sprayed by hand. The operation should be in fine weather, the place should be ventilated, and the workers should be protected. After the first coat of paint is dry, you can apply it for the second time. It is recommended to use imported professional anti-fouling paint for yachts. The paint is smooth, light and thin, with strong anti-foul   ing ability, so as to increase the speed of the yacht as much as possible and reduce fuel consumption.

6. After the yacht gets on the row, it is also a good opportunity to inspect the mechanical and electrical equipment and the surrounding conditions of the hull.
