1. Use lubricating oil with appropriate viscosity grade

For gasoline engines, API SM/CF/GF-4, SL/CF/CF-3 grades of pure gasoline engine oil should be selected according to the conditions of use; for diesel engines, API CI-4/SL, CH-4/ For SL grade pure diesel engine oil, the selection standard shall not be lower than the requirements specified by the engine manufacturer. 

2. Regularly replace the oil and filter element of the pilot yacht

Lubricants of any quality grade will change in their oil quality during use. After the piloted yacht reaches a certain mileage, in order to avoid the occurrence of failures, the oil should be changed regularly in combination with the conditions of use, and the amount of oil should be moderate. When the oil passes through the pores of the filter, the solid particles and viscous substances in the oil are accumulated in the filter.

3. Regularly clean the fuel system of the pilot yacht

When fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber through the fuel path, colloids and coke will inevitably form, which will be deposited in the fuel passage, fuel injectors and combustion chamber, which will interfere with fuel flow, destroy the normal air-fuel ratio, and make fuel Poor atomization causes engine surging, knocking, unstable idling, poor acceleration and other performance problems. The fuel system of the pilot yacht is cleaned regularly to control the formation of carbon deposits, and the engine can always be kept in a normal state.

4. Regular hull deck maintenance of pilot yachts

Pilot yachts should be cleaned frequently: the surface of the boat should be kept clean and the deck should be cleaned frequently. The surface contaminated by oil and other things can be cleaned with ordinary household cleaners. Do not use strong corrosive solvents, detergent powder, metal wire to scrub, so as not to leave scratches and affect the appearance. If the stain is difficult to remove, it can be cleaned with gasoline, kerosene, diesel, styrene, acetone, etc., but must be rinsed with water immediately after washing to prevent intrusion into the structure.
